Live Translator is provided by Servando Molina Teran under the Quant Solutions brand. The app uses Apple's standard end-user license agreement; this page explains its operation and limitations.

Using the app

Translations and transcriptions can be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect. Check important names, numbers, and instructions. Obtain any permissions needed before transcribing others. Language availability and Bluetooth behavior depend on Apple services, downloaded assets, the iPhone, and connected devices.

Translation minutes

The minute-pack version includes 20 starter minutes. One translation minute means 60 seconds of recognized source speech in phrases the app successfully translates. Silence, translated playback, typed text, failed translations, and time while the microphone is paused do not use minutes.

Optional minute packs are consumable in-app purchases. The price and currency shown in Apple's purchase sheet control the transaction. Packs do not renew automatically and purchased minutes do not expire. Apple processes payment. Used consumable purchases cannot be restored. The remaining balance is stored securely on the iPhone and does not sync to another device or app account.

Availability

Internet access is needed to download language assets, load or buy minute packs, and when online speech recognition is explicitly enabled. Your network provider may charge for data.
